My wife, daughter, and I just released Book 1 of the Sprout the Junior Researcher series, a free 27-page printable coloring book for kids ages 5-9.

Sprout is a small plant scientist who uses the Junior Skeptic's Toolkit to solve a real problem in her garden. She observes. She hypothesizes. She tests. She gets it wrong. Then she finds the actual answer. After this mystery in her garden, she’ll be exploring the world with the help of Animal Scientists like Professor Cobweb for her next educational adventures!

It's a coloring book and a story. Print it at home, use it in class, leave a stack somewhere kids will find it.

Future books in the series won't be free. This one is, because I want to get Sprout and the Junior Skeptic’s Toolkit into as many hands as possible.
