Hi there fellow Skeptics,
Quick heads up about something changing at Root to Rx this week, and a new way for you to get exactly the parts you want.
Starting this Monday (27Jul2026), we’re spreading our week out. Instead of a couple of big drops, each piece gets its own day, so the whole week reads like one story you can follow start to finish. Here is the rhythm up until the week of 17August2026:

Monday, Black Box Warning. We name a misinformation tactic and put a face on it.
Tuesday, The Root Room. The week’s idea worked through by characters, just like you and me.
Wednesday, Plain Talk. The plain-language breakdown and the Skeptic’s Toolkit.
Thursday, The Informed. The full evidence, with references.
Friday, The Verdict. The week’s claims go on trial and get a label.
We know more days could mean more email, so we built you a control panel.
By default, we email you Monday (Black Box Warning), Tuesday (The Root Room), and Wednesday (Plain Talk). We keep The Informed (Thursday) and The Verdict (Friday) on the web.
If you want the whole thread in your inbox, you can switch those two (The Informed and The Verdict) on in about a minute. And if you would rather get less, you can dial down to just the essentials. Your inbox, your rules.
Note 22Aug2026: due to increased work load with a second clinical trial, I am dialing back to three newsletters (Root Room, Plain Talk, and The Informed). Use this instruction to get The Informed.
Get the full week in your inbox (about a minute) with these steps:
Step 1. Tap Manage preferences at the very bottom of this email.

Step 2. Sign in with your email when prompted. This keeps your preferences private to you.

Step 3. Under Want the full week in your inbox, tick The Informed (Thursdays) and The Verdict (Fridays). Your choice saves automatically, and you can change it any time.

While you’re there, share Root to Rx. On the same page, under Refer a friend, tap Copy to grab your personal referral link, then send it to someone who could use a healthy dose of skepticism. Referrals help us grow, and they unlock the Series 1 collector cards.

You can update your choices any time from the bottom of any email. If you do nothing, you will keep getting Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday as usual.
One more thing. We recently crossed 100 of you. That’s 100 people choosing skepticism over cynicism, questions over easy answers, and it means more than you know. So here I am, in the shirt, coffee in hand, saying thank you for being in the room and learning how to stay in the room for those hard conversations with loved ones about health misinformation.
Thanks for being here. We’re building this so it works for you, not the other way around.
